#TAMRU – Friday 30th September results in support of PIP
Thanks to all those that took part in our September #Tamru charity climb in support of PIP. We had a brilliant turnout on Friday night last week and collectively raised a total sum of £344.50! for the amazing Pursuing Independent Paths charity. Full results of all those that took part: RESULTS
Pursuing Independent Paths
Since 1984 Pursuing Independent Paths (PIP), a small London based charity has been supporting local young adults with learning disabilities and autism to develop the skills and confidence they need to be more independent and achieve their potential. Each year PIP’s skilled and committed staff and volunteer team engage 60 adults (with a broad range of disabilities including Down’s syndrome and autism) in creative arts and drama, educational training sessions, travel training, recreational trips and holidays. Through our projects, we promote independence and choice by offering opportunities for development, and encourage people to become active members of the community. The adults with disabilities which PIP supports will lose their skills and become isolated from their community without our support. PIP ensures that adults with learning disabilities thrive, develop and learn throughout their lives.
