TAMRU in support of the CAPE Project
Last month’s TAMRU was an absolute banger and in April we’re aiming even higher! A big thank you to everyone who came out last time around. We received some great feedback on the changes, which you can read about here. TL,DR: Giveaways, DJ, MC, and accessible climbs
Guess what? We’re adding more stuff to the night’s festivities! The training area will feature giant games like Noughts And Crosses, 4 in a Row and a Tumble Tower. At 7pm we'll run an Improver Session on the Stage Wall too. We’ll livestream the whole affair on our YouTube channel so you can tune in if you’re unable to join us on the night!
Just down the road in Acton is the CAPE Project, our beneficiary for April:
“Cape is a mental health charity based in West London. We support local people who experience severe and enduring mental health issues such as trauma-induced complex depression and anxiety, bipolar disorder, psychosis and PTSD.
Our support helps people get themselves on the road to recovery. We do this through a combination of fostering greater self-identity, interests, coping mechanisms and sense of independence and emotional resilience.
With our help, people are better equipped to make the possibility of recovery and living a more meaningful life into a reality.”
CAPE has a charity store too! If you have a few bits and bobs you no longer need, we’d be delighted to accept your donations. We will now also be collecting donations at Arch Acton for Gift Your Gear, a charity that supports community organisations, youth groups and charities working with young people in the outdoors. If you've got any outdoor gear you're no longer using (as long as it still functions!), bring it down and donate it to an excellent cause.
