Three day NICAS climbing courses for kids over the Summer starting 23rd July.

NICAS Bouldering Level 1: Summer 3 Day Course at Arch Climbing Surrey Quays

The National Indoor Climbing Award Scheme (NICAS) is a UK-wide scheme designed to promote climbing development and accredit individual achievement on indoor climbing walls. We are proud to be offering this fantastic scheme at Arch Surrey Quays.

Whether your child is a regular climber or is brand new to the sport, NICAS is a perfect way for them to learn and develop their agility, balance & co-ordination in a fun environment.

Taught by our wonderful coaches, NICAS Bouldering Level 1 sessions should be completed by a candidate in 3 x 2hr sessions. If successful this opens the pathway to Level 2 and beyond in NICAS, which will available at The Arch during term time and these courses continue to give a comprehensive development to a young climber. Completing the Summer NICAS Level 1 course does not automatically guarantee a Level 2 spot but puts the candidate in the best position to secure a space once the next term starts.

For Level 1, all three sessions are booked at the same time so please ensure your child can make all the dates.

If looking for less commitment than the full 3 session syllabus, we do offer ad-hoc climbing clubs every week, just go back to the kids page and look for our Marmosets and Spider Monkeys classes.

If it is the first time your child is climbing at The Arch, please make sure to pre-fill in our Kids Instructed Consent Form

*Please note that there will be a one-off payment of £15 for the NICAS Logbook on the very first session. This logbook will then stay with the participant as they move through the scheme.
